Devin Miles, The Links at Heartland Crossing
Meet First Tee Coach Devin Miles. He has been teaching golf for 9 years and First Tee since 2021.
What is your favorite First Tee activity?
“My favorite activity from our First Tee sessions this season was our Drive, Chip and Putt competition we held at the end of our summer camp. We worked all week to prepare for those three skills with our games and drills. The kids had a blast. They showed confidence and sportsmanship as we competed.”
What golf shot do you need to practice most?
The most important golf stroke most youth golfers need to improve is the putting stroke. It’s a fulfilling moment when a young athlete finds their confidence on the putting green.
How have First Tee programs impacted your juniors?
“My favorite part about coaching with The First Tee is seeing the game of golf be a catalyst for development in so many important aspects of life. Determination, confidence and respect are three principles we talk about during class and it’s a joy to watch the athletes find themselves as golfers and as young people as we work through our sessions.”
Thank you Coach Miles for your dedication to First Tee and The Links at Heartland Crossing!
