Since 1997, The First Tee of Indiana-Northwest has been teaching youth character education through the game of golf. With the help of our donors we impact over 400 Northwest Indiana youth on a yearly basis. Our programs include a homework and hitting class, STEM classes, all-female classes, co-ed eight-week programs, and the National School Program which is implemented in local elementary physical education classrooms. As a nonprofit, we rely on the help of volunteers and donors to keep costs minimal, provide scholarships, and purchase equipment. Contributors donating $250 and higher are invited to play in the 2017 "Tee it Up" event at Indiana's most premier golf courses - at no additional cost. As a senior at Crown Point, Emily has maintained a 4.4 GPA and is a role model both on and off the course. She has donated over 1,000 hours of community service and will be attending Purdue University in the fall of 2017.
