MORE THAN A SPORTS PROGRAM | First Tee – Indiana
First Tee – Indiana came under the Indiana Golf Foundation umbrella in 2012. With over 20 years of experience providing golf programs to Indiana youth, the Indiana Golf Foundation has established itself as a national leader in junior golf. In addition to the Indiana Golf Foundation’s mission to teach life lessons through the game of golf, at First Tee – Indiana, we’re Building Game Changers by empowering kids and teens to be the best version of themselves.
By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with character-building, we create learning experiences that help kids uncover their inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that they can carry to everything they do.
Our trained coaches not only provide an introduction to junior golf and an opportunity to enhance golf skills, but they also create a safe, supportive, and empowering environment to help your child prepare for life ahead, including friendships, school, college and even their careers.
Through our program, kids and teens will learn skills that stay with them for life:
- Pursuing Goals
- Growing through Challenge
- Collaborating with Others
- Building Positive Self-Identity
- Using Good Judgment
We currently have 19 program locations offering the First Tee Program at area golf courses and 300+ elementary schools incorporating the First Tee School Program into their physical education classes. From Michiana to Evansville, communities across the state are recognizing the impact First Tee can have on their youth and opening their doors to this research-driven program.
