Welcome

First Tee – Indiana in Fort Wayne was established in 2015 with the addition of the First Tee School Program to 34 Fort Wayne Community Schools. In 2017, we partnered with the Lifetime Sports Academy, a summer camp for boys and girls ages 7-18 that includes a variety of sports related activities along with the full First Tee curriculum, offered by the Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department free of charge. The addition of five new golf course programs in 2024 has added another layer of opportunity to reach out to area youth. We are continuing to expand with the slate of golf course programs now to include Etna Acres Golf Course, Altura, Eel River Golf Course, Chestnut Hills Golf Club, Tilbury Golf Academy, Bridgewater Golf Club, Garrett Country Club, Whispering Creek Golf Course and Brookwood Golf Club. Altogether, First Tee is reaching nearly 13,000 kids and teens in Fort Wayne.

Lifetime Sports Academy

Our Life Skills Experience is instructed at the Lifetime Sports Academy offered by the Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department. Join our 2025 summer camp for boys and girls ages 7-18 that includes a variety of sports related activities, along with the full First Tee curriculum, offered free of charge to Fort Wayne area youth.  You can contact Jason Smith at [email protected] with any questions about programs.

Dave Demske, Carter Demske, and Doug Booth, PGA will be the lead instructors at Garrett Country Club. The primary goals will be developing proper stance, posture, grip, alignment, and tempo. Participants will be introduced to the following fundamentals: etiquette, safety, rules, putting, short game, full swing, on course time and a skills competition.
